Obituary - Remembering Audrey Cassidy

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Audrey Cassidy on Friday 17th January 2020 following a relatively short illness.

Audrey was married to Mike and had three children – Nayland, Lorene and Cole.  She was also blessed with six wonderful grandchildren that she adored.

Audrey was an integral part of both Auckland Branch and the National Executive of PMAANZ.  She served on the executive of the Auckland Branch in various capacities for many years including Chairperson in 2011.  Audrey also served on the National Executive from September 2006-2009 and was Treasurer from 2007-2009. She was given Lifetime Honorary Member status in 2013.She was awarded Practice Manager of the Year in 2003 by ProCare.

Her passion was general practice and Audrey worked at Greenwood Medical Centre as their Practice Manager for many years and then at various GP practices around Auckland.

She was one of the primary audit personnel for the RNZCGP Cornerstone Accreditation Programme, and an avid supporter of this excellent program. Audrey will be remembered by many for her unfailing willingness to help and offer her expertise and knowledge to all; especially new practice managers and those going through accreditation.

Audrey will be sadly missed by both her family and her many friends and colleagues who valued her hard work, friendship and constant support for PMAANZ.

Our love and prayers go out to her family at this sad time.

Kia āio tō moe – May you rest in peace
