I am a full time Practice Manager for Muscle People Physiotherapy, which has three clinics in Christchurch. Having worked as a practice manager since 2001 in both general, medical and specialist practices, I have a real passion for this profession. I enjoy utilising and developing my skills, assisting practices to develop systems and cultures that deliver excellence. As part of my own professional development, I have undertaken part time study towards an NZIM Diploma in Management, which I completed in 2008. I also appreciate the wonderful support, friendship and encouragement available through the local PMAANZ group and National Executive. I was elected onto the PMAANZ National Executive in 2007 and re-elected for a second term in 2010. For me, being on the Executive has been a time of growth, personal development and satisfaction. It's also an opportunity to give back to an organisation and profession that I passionately believe has a very important role to play in an ever changing environment. I look forward to another term and having the ongoing opportunity to serve PMAANZ as we continue to be a voice for our members, raising the profile and professional standing of Practice Management in the Health Sector. |
