Our annual seminar which was held on April 10th 2010, was a great success with those attending taking away new skills to use for people management in their practice and insights into their own vision and values which affect us in every aspect of our lives.
Early in 2009, we asked our Auckland branch members to complete a survey to determine what they wanted from their local association with PMAANZ. The outcome was fewer meetings but to continue with the annual seminars held in central Auckland. So from our AGM held in June, we decided to meet on a quarterly basis and to maintain our commitment to the seminars. Therefore the next meeting will be September followed in early December by our Christmas celebration dinner. Our meetings are held midweek in the evenings at the offices of Think IT which is located at 270 Neilson Street in Onehunga, a good location with close access to the motorway.
One of the greatest benefits of the branch meetings is the networking and support opportunities, the old adage of "a problem shared is a problem halved" is truly apt in this forum, we are often able to help each other utilising our array of skills and experiences.
